I'm not sure of the purpose, but there are two sections on the back that are open-ended. Overall, pretty great condition. There are a few dings (mostly from storage) and a couple of spots (like on the handle from skin oils.).

This looks a lot like a LL Bean Boat and Tote but it is not. It is a vintage 1980s ORVIS Boat and Tote-Styled Canvas Tote Bag with a green stripe and zip top. Heavy duty. Very strong and solid. Big tote. Dingy on the underside of the handles (see last photo). It has not been washed but looks good. Estate sale find. Personalized initials of MPG on the side. An Orvis tote like this is actually quite rare. Couldn't find another like it with an ORVIS tag.
Classic traveler’s backpack, used in great condition with a few cosmetics signs of wear. Fits a 16” laptop, has lots of pockets, luggage pass-through handle on back, and padded interior Velcro electronics pocket in front section. Signs of wear (see in photos): side net pocket is slightly stretched but fully functional, slight cosmetic wear on the canvas in a few places.
Pre-owned with normal signs of use. There isnoticeable wear on the underside of the shoulder pad, though this is not visible when the bag is being carried. The remainder of the briefcase shows expected light wear consistent with age and use.
